Outside the Box – Juliann Talkington

On Monday, the Renascence School International Panama City students celebrated MId-Autumn Festival (also called Moon Festival). The festival is held on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese calendar. The government of the People’s Republic of China listed the festival as “intangible cultural heritage” in 2006, and it was made a Chinese public holiday in 2008. As part of the holiday tradition, the students sampled moon cake and made crafts.
