Outside the Box – Deborah Durbin

On February 24, Enrichment Program students learned about Andy Warhol, one of the leading figures in the pop art movement. The students were shown selections of his famous prints, both comic and serious works. To honor President’s Day, the students then painted black and white images of Presidents Kennedy, Lincoln, and Washington with water color paints. The students cut out the images and pasted them onto brightly colored paper to form a tetraptych, consistent with Andy Warhol’s style.  A special thanks to Ms. Nixon for leading the activity!
