Outside the Box – Deborah Durbin and Juliann Talkington

On February 14, the school was covered in pink, red, and white to celebrate Valentine’s Day. During class, students made special crafts to take home and hung hearts on their cubbies. Students exchanged cards and gifts with their friends and teachers. For several weeks before the “big day” the students worked on Valentine’s Day crafts including glue and string hearts, decorated bags and special drawings. Some of the older children made handmade watercolor and photos cards. Some children made flower arrangements with artistic labels.Everyone had a great time celebrating! A special thanks to Nathalie Richards for photographing the fun.

PS Somehow the kindergarten and older kids managed to dodge the camera. We’ll get extra pictures of them during the next activity.
