As part of the international curriculum at the Panama City Renaissance School, students participated in Chinese New Year activities at the school yesterday. In addition, to greeting everyone with “Happy New Year”, the kids are made Chinese crafts, ate Chinese food and received Chinese lanterns.

Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. It is often called the Lunar New Year, especially by people in mainland China and Taiwan. The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first lunar month. Yesterday, January 26, was the first day of Chinese New Year.
