Outside the Box – Deborah Durbin

Since September, Panama City Renaissance School students have been learning how to quilt in their Visual Art classes taught by Ms. Durbin. Over two sessions, the children learned some of the history and techniques of quilting and made their own mini quilt. A special thanks to Naomi Winter and Vicki Hammack for showing the class some of their projects. The older children learned how to apply geometry to patchwork design and will be entering patches in a contest sponsored by Moda fabrics and the National Quilt Museum.
